After the first leg of the World Cup qualifier between Nigeria and Ghana ended goalless, Nigerians are hopeful that the Super Eagles will defeat the Black Stars of Ghana at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja.
The match kicks off at 6:00pm Nigerian Time.
Although neither Napoli striker Victor Osimhen nor Villareal winger Samuel Chukwueze were involved in training on Saturday, which makes them doubtful for the game, fans remain hopeful there will be a turn around.
Amuwo News was at Villa Park Hotel, Festac Link Road, Amuwo, Odofin to speak to fans who expressed their predictions and thoughts.
Here is what they had to say:
David Ogoing, Bar Man
The game between Nigeria and Ghana is going to be a tough game, but Nigeria will have the day and win by 2 goals to nothing. I believe everybody will celebrate. With or without Osimhen, Nigeria will win tonight.
Friday Aghida, Plumber
I am so much into Nigerian football that I can tell you it will be a tough game, but Nigeria will win. In the previous game, it was goalless, and we appreciate the Super Eagles, but Nigeria will win this game. I believe we need this game more, so I predict a 2 goal win in favor of Nigeria.
Jerome Kubiat, Security Personnel,
Nigerian players are doing well, and I expect Nigeria to win. To be honest, Nigeria is blessed with better players than we are. My prediction is two goals in favor of Nigeria.
Linus Ogha, Businessman
As a Nigerian, I will support my country, but I am certain Nigeria will win because we have better players. My prediction is 1-0.
Dominic Ogha, Businessman
This is a 50/50 game. I believe Nigeria has a better chance, so my prediction is 1-0.
Anthony Chukwuemeka, Student
Nigeria struggled in the previous game because Ndidi was unavailable. I also thought the referee was biased. I am not certain Nigeria will win this game, but if I had to predict, I would say Nigeria 2 Ghana 0.
Nigeria will be attempting to secure a World Cup ticket for the seventh time after appearing in the competition six times.
Nigeria national team qualified for the World Cup in 1994, 1998, 2002, 2010, 2014, and 2018.
