Onyi Best FC emerged winners of the Amuwo Odofin Face-Off 3 after defeating Juventus FC 2-0 in the final match of the tournament
Onyi Best FC has now won the tournament for the third consecutive time.
Honourable Onyeka Kalu, the owner of Onyi Best, said, “we won the first edition and they thought it was a fluke, we won the second edition to show them that it was not a fluke.

“I was reluctant to register for this edition but because we are the defending champions we decided to register.
“We won the first match and lost the second match then we won the third game which qualified us for the semi-final.
“Our opponents are a fantastic team with good players but Onyi Best has players that have played kn different parts of Lagos and are not scared of any team no matter how young or experienced you are.

“It’s a wonderful event and it’s all about fun, to also encourage the youths that are coming up. We thank God that we are champions for the third time.”
Happy Frederick Okoka, a player of Onyi Best FC whose second-half strike sealed the winner said, “I feel happy and I feel great. Although, we started badly to the grace of God and the hard work of my teammates.
“In a game of football, you need to respect your opponents and we gave them the respect. We were not afraid of them.”
Ibrahim Danjuma, a resident said “the tournament has been going well so far and I like the approach of the fans, the teams and the management. If they keep this going, the tournament will grow bigger and better.

“The final was competitive with so many highlights and actions. For you to be a three-time champion, it’s not luck, it’s hard work, dedication and teamwork. I believe they deserve it so kudos to them.”
Mr Enoch Abes, a fan of Onyi Best FC, was elated to see his favourite team lift the trophy as he celebrated with the players on the pitch.
He described the winning team as terrific. “They played defensive and they played attacking. They played their best.”

Mr Abes implored Nigerians to support talented youths in the Country.
He believes players who participated in the tournament are good enough to represent the Nigerian national team.
