On Thursday, chaos erupted at Amuwo’s tricycle (Keke Napep) Park, after which a resident of the community, Mr. Dele (Pseudo name), storms the park in order to speak with one of the tricycle riders who had dented his car and also allowed him to be assaulted by Nigerian military personnel along Durbar road.
Dele revealed that the military men assaulted him for creating a roadblock, which he had done to prevent the tricycle rider from fleeing the scene, while also displaying the bruises he obtained as a result of the military personnel’s assault.
Dele, who had waited for the tricycle rider to approach him, stated that he had planned to go to the park to speak to him, but was astonished when others joined forces with him to assault him for the second time.
While leaving the park lamenting, humiliated, and harassed, he reassured the audience that he would come back with his allies.
Mr. James, an eyewitness to the incident, alleged that the tricycle rider had hit and dented Dele’s car after attempting to overtake him.
After assaulting him for the second time, he claimed Dele vowed to make him pay for it.
Mr. Dele, the victim, told Amuwo News that what hurts the most is being attacked by the person who hit his vehicle and that he would not be humiliated in his neighbourhood.
