National Council of Women’s Society presents medical equipment to Amuwo Odofin Local Government

The National Council of women’s society (NCWS) has donated medical equipment, showing its commitment to quality medical services to residents of Amuwo Odofin on Thursday, 10th of March 2022.


As indicated by the Leader of NCWS, Amuwo Odofin chapter, Alhaja Taiwo Runmonkun, the donation is pointed toward accomplishing adequacy and accessibility of vital medical equipment across communities in the Lagos State and also to promote women’s involvement in governance at all levels and encourage collaboration with associations and bodies with the same targets.

She also stated that the donation of medical equipment is a little commitment of the NCWS to supplementing the work of the two gathering executives, especially, the current administration towards accomplishing adequacy and accessibility of important equipment in health centers in Amuwo Odofin.
Furthermore, she said two years prior, the NCWS moved around the local area with our administrator and patroness as supporters of “No to child abuse and violence against women”. Through this work, numerous ladies were freed and saved from rape.


Alhaja Taiwo Runmonkun continued by saying, a ton actually should be done to guarantee quality life for women and children in our communities, recognizing and engaging ladies with abilities and supplementing government endeavors in the accomplishment of every one of our objectives.
She vouched that the NCWS would not give up and will continue helping the local government to resolve the issues referenced above, particularly those disturbing our women and children.
While collecting the medical equipment for the benefit of the Amuwo Odofin LCDA, Chairman of Amuwo Odofin, Engr. Dr. Valentine Buraimoh stated hypertension as one of the main sources of unexpected passing out among Nigerians.

He said Hypertension is one of the main causes of death in the world. Sadly, numerous Nigerians are so much engaged with monetary endurance that they care less about their wellbeing which is the reason you see individuals falling and passing on from Hypertension.
He implored everyone to focus on their wellbeing by going for standard clinical check-ups and sticking to specialist remedies. For those who have an illness and we should not see drugs as lifelong incarceration.


“Drugs recommended by the specialists are to make us sound while utilized by specialists’ remedies. So we should keep on utilizing our medication routinely and as indicated by the specialist’s recommendation.” He stated.

He also mentioned that medications should be taken as indicated by the specialist’s recommendation and appreciated the Lagos State president of the National Council for Women Societies (NCWS) for medical equipment contributed to essential wellbeing communities in Amuwo Odofin LCDA
Chairman of Amuwo Odofin, Engr. Dr. Valentine Buraimoh guaranteed that the medical equipment donated will be put to good use and for the benefit of residents of Amuwo Odofin.
