Toastmasters Club has organized a training on public speaking for residents of Festac Town to enhance the skills of participants.
The training was also to enhance their communication and leadership skills.
The area director, Mr. Oluwaseun Sopeyin, and eight others attended the 2-hour training session.
According to Mr. Sopeyin, “Toastmasters is a club where you learn public speaking skills and develop your leadership skills.” It is a place to be for the young and the old. The essence is to improve people in their occupations and daily lives to make them more accountable and better leaders. “
A member of the club, Mr. Uzokwe Best spoke highly of the club and its members. “Toastmasters International is one of the best things that has happened to me when it comes to public speaking and leadership.”
“It is said that speaking is one of the things people have issues with and what people fear most aside from death is public speaking but being a member of toastmasters, I have come to overcome the fear of public speaking and it has allowed me to relate with great minds.”
