Amuwo Odofin Local Government has sworn in newly appointed council members for the positions of Secretary to the Local Government (SLG), Supervisory Councilors, and Special Advisers.
The inauguration by Barrister Akeem Okoya was held at the multipurpose hall, secretariat on Monday.
The inauguration proceeded with the approval of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
The newly appointed supervisory councilors include Mr. Bolaji Tolulope Elliot, Mr. Ajibola Jenmi Moruf, Zainab Adebimpe Bello, Oba Ameen Abiodun, and Kehinde Nurudeen Buraimoh, Akinbinu Gbenga Nath, and Doherty Simbiat Bimpe.

The special advisers are Alimi Tairat Bukola, Erinle Olalekan, Otolorin Abiodun Fatimoh, and Ajiboye Emmanuel Abiodun.
The secretary to the local government is Mrs. Osho Anthonia Kemi.
The Executive Chairman of Amuwo Odofin Local Government Area, Engineer Valentine Oluseyi Buraimoh, was present at the inauguration.

He congratulated the newly appointed members of the council and demanded loyalty to the ruling party (APC) and his office.
Engr. Buraimoh stated that there would be no excuses for incompetence and demanded synergy between appointed members and heads of departments at all levels.
Mr. Bolaji Tolulope Elliot, the supervisor of works, stated that it is a privilege to serve under the administration of Engr. Buraimoh. He also said the Executive Chairman has given the youth a sense of belonging within the community.

“I am an ambassador who is here to represent my people. This position is not for me but for the youths in Amuwo Odofin.”
Our correspondent spoke to Mr. Godwin Ayangba, a member of the APC, who said, “This is one of the best things that will happen to this local government because we have a composition of young and vibrant people.”
“The Chairman has tried his best and we expect the best from the newly sworn-in members.”
