Janet Abimbola, and Honorable Wole Opesanmi, representing Amuwo Odofin constituency 1 and 2 respectively have clinched tickets of the Africa Democratic Congress (ADC) unopposed and will contest in the 2023 general elections.
Abimbola and Honorable Opesanmi were declared winners by Adewole Joseph Ijaogbomo, the Local Government Area (LGA) of ADC in Amuwo Odofin Local Government.

According to the Chairman, “the two candidates are from their youths and we want the youths to take over governance, we want the youths to legislate what is paramount to the youths particularly in Amuwo Odofin Local Government so that we can an effective legislative arm in Lagos state.
“We are proud to present both of them for elective positions and we do hope the youths in our constituencies will rally around them and give them the necessary support.

Honorable Wole Opesanmi, who is a product manager and a businessman said, “It means the world to me, having an opportunity to speak for my people (the sorosoke generation) in the State House of Assembly is an opportunity that’s very much appreciated and I hope to do my best to win the election for the people and for the party who has given me this opportunity.
“My Constituency should expect a rejuvenated Amuwo Odofin, one where the young people do not feel ostracised from government, a community that gives the young people an opportunity to express themselves and skillfully thrive in life. This is what I will be bringing to them, so help me God.
Janet Abimbola, who has been a member of the ADC for 4 years expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to represent constituency 1 in the upcoming elections and hopes her party has a good run in the 2023 elections.

Party members and officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) were in attendance at the intra-party election.
It was held at 17 Magbesa Street Kirikiri town, Ori-Ade Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Amuwo Odofin Local Government Area (LGA).
