To promote a culture of fitness and health in the community, I-Fitness held an open day for residents of Festac Town to experience the renowned fitness center.
The open day was held on May 21 at the I-Fitness center along 1st Avenue, Festac Town.

Notably, members and non-members who were beneficiaries of a 50% discount offered by the gym were in attendance.
Chisom Uchegbu, a resident whose goal is to live healthy, stated it was her first time visiting the fitness center.

“My goal is to be healthy, drain that fat, and build muscles. This is my first time entering I-Fitness and I’m surprised.
“I usually use my phone to watch people work out and see how well-equipped their gym is, so when I came to I-Fitness, I was astounded. I hope to join next month because what am I doing if I’m not going to be working out? Where else would I want to be if not at I-Fitness?”

Winifred Odoemene, who is also a beneficiary of the free workout session, recounted her experience to Amuwo News.
It’s my first time here and I’m really impressed because what I saw here I have not seen anywhere else. I-Fitness is so equipped; some of the facilities I have seen I have not seen anywhere else.

She said convincingly, “Man, I am so amazed and I wish to subscribe next month because we have to keep fit.” I’ve been telling myself I need to keep fit. That’s my aim.”
Ole Godwin was a banker who claimed he was reluctant to participate after a long week. He described his experience as worthwhile.

“I came here to visit the gym for the first time, and I must say it’s not easy, but it’s achievable.
“I was reluctant to come participate, but I can say that it’s worth it. All the equipment is well functioning and well maintained, so I’m really glad I was able to achieve this.”
Godwin’s stated that his goal is to keep fit and look good for himself.
The operating manager of the branch, Gerald Omez, shed light on the open day, fitness community, and culture.
“Today is a very big day for us.” It is also a very important day in our business. The idea of our day today, open day, is aimed at looking at our community and giving them an enablement and access to our gym.
“We are not just throwing our gym at them but giving them an opportunity to experience the lifestyle of a healthier and happier life.

“People get to see it with lots of cars around parked. People are starting to wonder what is really happening here. They know it’s a gym, but they’re distracted by the fear that this isn’t where they should be. I don’t belong with these people.
“Today we are giving them this opportunity to say, “We are not as big as you think we are.” “We are not as scary as you think we are.” We are giving you a chance to be a part of a culture that looks out for healthy and happy people.
“Today’s open day is a chance to also give benefits back to society, to the community, and to everyone at large. We are offering a 50% discount on registration, which makes you a member. When you become a member, it means you get to enjoy our multi-access location benefit.”

Residents were treated to a variety of fitness challenges, including push-up challenges, cone challenges, tug of war, and wall seat challenges, with the winners receiving goody bags.
